How would you like to meet up for some Green Drinks? Although Green Drinks may sound like the perfect name for some newfangled, health-conscious, eco-friendly beverage, it's nothing of the sort.

It actually stands for something much better: the name the Green Drinks nonprofit uses for its meetings, where South Florida members -- area professionals who share a common interest in being "green" -- get together for drinks to discuss ways to protect the environment. And this year, Green Drinks will be raising its glass to more than just good ideas when it celebrates its second-annual Eco-Lifestyle Gala with actress Patricia Arquette, this year's recipient of its Eco-Lifestyle Pioneer Award.

Green Drinks will honor Arquette for her work with GiveLove, the nonprofit Haiti relief organization she founded alongside Rosetta Millington-Getty in 2010. Arquette will also host the special fundraising event, set to take place May 19 at the Boca Raton Resort & Club.Recently, Charlie had an opportunity to speak with the celebrity philanthropist about her work with GiveLove, discuss what the Green Drinks award means to her -- and even get the scoop on her favorite eats when she's helping out in Haiti. Here's what actress Patricia Arquette had to say:

GiveLove co-founders Patricia Arquette and Rosetta Getty, along with Jacqui Getty, welcomed guests to a private LA residence for the 1st Annual GiveLove to Haiti Dinner on Sunday, August 29th, 2010. The event’s mission was to raise awareness for GiveLove — a collaborative project to rebuild communities, homes and livelihoods for displaced Haitian earthquake survivors.

The exclusive dinner, which drew out “giving” celebs including Maria Bello, Odette Yusman, Rose McGowan and Rachel Bilson, featured Maestro DOBEL Diamond Tequila, which guests enjoyed throughout the nights. James Van Der Beek and “Brothers and Sisters” co-stars Dave Annable and Balthazar Getty all sported the Choose Haiti H.E.L.P. Bracelet, while they toasted Maestro DOBEL Diamond Tequila. The H.E.L.P. Bracelet which is created by Haitian artisans is available at BlanketAmerica.com; all funds for the bracelet and for the GiveLove event benefit the Haiti relief efforts.

After a yo-yo ride of breakup, then makeup and now divorce, Patricia Arquette and Thomas Jane's relationship hasn't exactly been stable. But Arquette says the split isn't as acrimonious as one might assume...

"We're both really good," she told us last night at the Judith Leiber boutique in Beverly Hills, where she cohosted the Don't Forget Haiti benefit for Vital Voices.

Arquette insisted she and the Hung star remain friends. The pair, who were introduced by friends in 2001, got married four years ago and have a 7-year-old daughter together. About a year ago the Medium star filed a divorce petition, but the two eventually reunited. "I don't think people would even imagine that it could be so friendly and not weird," Arquette said. Sounds like we may be able to add them to our list of "Good" Hollywood Divorces".

PATRICIA ARQUETTE needed a clairvoyant to turn around her career in 2005 and she found just that in Allison Dubois, the humdrum housewife who solves major crimes with her dreams in the hit US series Medium. Up to then, Arquette was best-known for North-East director Tony Scott’s 1993 movie True Romance and others like Ed Wood and Disney’s Holes and her shortlived 1995 marriage to Nicolas Cage.

Now she’s an Emmy award-winning actress, who has just been commissioned to star in a seventh series of Medium, which has been treated disgracefully by the BBC (should Arquette have seen that coming?) with a scatter-gun broadcasting of the early series. Now Living is showing the latest episodes, which still command eight million viewers in the US.

“I had a feeling that women wanted to see something different. Different types of body shapes, different faces,” Arquette said of the success of Medium, which features her as a working mum with three daughters and a loving husband, Joe (Jake Weber). “She’s not some supermodel, but he’s hot for her and she’s hot for him. It’s a committed sexual marriage which you rarely see in film or TV,” is her summing up of the backstory.

Patricia Arquette has made her split from husband Thomas Jane official. The Medium star filed for divorce from the actor last Friday, Los Angeles court records show. Arquette is seeking primary physical and legal custody of their daughter Harlow, 7, and is asking the court to deny Jane any spousal support.

"The split is completely amicable and their prime focus is their daughter," a rep for Jane said last week. "They ask that their privacy be respected at this time." The actress first filed for divorce from Jane, who stars in HBO's Hung, in January 2009, but the two reconciled later that year.

Arquette, 42, and Jane, 41, met through friends in 2001 and were married in Italy in May 2006.

Most people when they go for a picnic in the park opt for a simple sandwich, avoiding the need for any cutlery. Not so Medium star Patricia Arquette, who obviously likes to make eating out a real performance. In fact, it was an impressive piece of education for her seven-year-old daughter Harlow as she enjoyed a Chinese meal complete with chopsticks.

The 42-year-old star was spotted giving the challenging culinary lesson in Cross Creek, Malibu. And the little girl obviously loved every minute of it. Patricia's husband, actor Thomas Jane, was not there to enjoy the outing perhaps as he is currently promoting season two of his hit comedy drama Hung.

The couple have been going through difficult times recently, with Arquette filing for divorce last year, stating irreconcilable differences. But the pair have agreed to give the marriage a second try. Like chopsticks, tricky to start with but worth sticking at...

PRESENT TENTS: American actress Patricia Arquette flew from Haiti recently to lunch on David Cubitt and wife Julia Molnar's tented Shaughnessy lawn. Cubitt has played opposite Arquette for six years on the supernatural-drama TV series Medium. Molnar owns the Isola Bella children's clothing store here.

Arquette's focus is to provide clean, safe, sustainable communities for children and families enduring harsh conditions in Haiti's post-earthquake tent camps. Her Give Love Foundation ( www.givelove.org)urges friends, colleagues, politicians, scientists and others to fund container homes, sanitation facilities, gardens and practical fuels. Lunch over, donor-guests strolled indoors to hear Spirit of The West singer John Mann's "unplugged" recital in the Cubitt-Molnar living room.

Coral Gables When she returned from a two-week trip to Haiti last week, actress Patricia Arquette attended a cocktail reception at the home of Coral Gables residents Ben and Jennie Lou Reid, to raise money for the Give Love Foundation.

The Emmy Award-winning actress and star of Medium on CBS founded Give Love to implement a methodical pilot project that will develop and evaluate sustainable, low-cost building technologies, green fuel and sanitation systems, and other long-term living solutions for displaced communities in Haiti.

Through the help of the American Welding Society, which is headquartered in Miami, and students at Robert Morgan Educational Center in South Miami-Dade, Give Love hopes to have 54 families out of tents and living in shipping containers that are being converted into homes, within the next few months.

Patricia Arquette wasn't overjoyed when she found out her CBS hit show Medium was renewed for another season (its seventh). The reason: The 42-year-old actress was in Haiti, helping displaced earthquake victims. ``[Producers] called me to tell me we were just picked up and I didn't know what was happening,'' Arquette said at a fundraiser at a private home in Coral Gables. ``There were kids running around with no shoes in broken glass and broken metal. The toilets were full. There are sanitary issues. I said, `I can't even talk to you about that. I'm in a whole other world.' ''

Indeed, Arquette's bizarro glamorous Hollywood life definitely went on the back burner for 12 days earlier this month when the actress, who has starred in such movies as Flirting with Disaster, Beyond Rangoon and True Romance, traveled to the ravaged island nation. Her goal, along with the Give Love Foundation (which she founded), is helping to resettle homeless families. Earlier in the day, Arquette visited the Robert Morgan Educational Center in South Miami to check in with welding students who are building the doors and roofing trusses for quake victims' new homes. Fifty-four housing structures are set for a one-acre site in Cité Soleil, a volatile area in Port-au-Prince.

"American Welding Society and Welding School Work with 'Medium' Star Patricia Arquette’s Give Love Foundation to Build Shelter for Families in Haiti."

WHAT: Upon her return from a humanitarian two-week trip to Haiti, actress Patricia Arquette will visit welding students at Robert Morgan Education Center in South Miami-Dade who are working with her Give Love Foundation to build doors and roofing trusses for new housing in Haiti.

The American Welding Society teamed up the welding students with Arquette, an Emmy Award-winning actress, and fashion designer Rosetta Getty, to help build 54 housing structures on a one-acre site in Cite Soleil, Port-au-Prince. The units will be constructed out of shipping containers and provide immediate relief for displaced families who are currently camped at the L’Athletique d’Haiti soccer field.

As Haiti struggles to rebuild after the devastating earthquake in January of this year, millions of people are still without any adequate shelter. Despite the massive international disaster and relief operation, the long-term needs of displaced communities are still not being addressed for the majority of the homeless people. With families living in tents and the rainy season upon them, these camp cities are vulnerable to flooding and the spread of water-borne disease.

Pundits have had a hard time predicting whether this will be the final season for Patricia Arquette’s five-year-old “Medium” – or not. Arquette herself seems ready for either a yea or nay.

“You never know as an actor what the future holds. I’ll always be grateful for this a great time in my life,” she tells us. “I’ve been able to play really interesting things the writers have written – different time periods, different personalities, all kinds of amazing things.”

She’s also enjoyed her on-camera family, series hubby Jake Weber and daughters Sofia Vassilieva, Maria Lark, and twins Madison and Miranda Carabello (who share the role of Marie). “It’s so great to watch these girls grow up into such incredible young women. All the girls are taking on more and more and expressing their voices as actresses. Me and Jake love acting. We have great respect for it. They literally at us down and asked, ‘How do you prepare for a part? What do you do first? How do you break down a scene, a script?’ It’s impressive.”
