MEDIUM revolves not only around the fact that Allison Dubois (Patricia Arquette) is psychic, but that she has a family. For seven seasons, the audience has watched the Dubois daughters – sensitive Ariel, forthright Bridget and little Marie – grow up on camera. Likewise, actresses Sofia Vassilieva (Ariel), now eighteen, Maria Lark (Bridget), now thirteen, and identical twins Madison and Miranda Carabello (sharing the role of Marie), now eight, have spent a significant portion of their lives acting in the Dubois household.

The long-running MEDIUM airs its final new episode tonight on CBS. This interview was conducted while it was not known whether there would be an eighth season. Here’s what they had to say.

PRESENT TENTS: American actress Patricia Arquette flew from Haiti recently to lunch on David Cubitt and wife Julia Molnar's tented Shaughnessy lawn. Cubitt has played opposite Arquette for six years on the supernatural-drama TV series Medium. Molnar owns the Isola Bella children's clothing store here.

Arquette's focus is to provide clean, safe, sustainable communities for children and families enduring harsh conditions in Haiti's post-earthquake tent camps. Her Give Love Foundation ( www.givelove.org)urges friends, colleagues, politicians, scientists and others to fund container homes, sanitation facilities, gardens and practical fuels. Lunch over, donor-guests strolled indoors to hear Spirit of The West singer John Mann's "unplugged" recital in the Cubitt-Molnar living room.

Coral Gables When she returned from a two-week trip to Haiti last week, actress Patricia Arquette attended a cocktail reception at the home of Coral Gables residents Ben and Jennie Lou Reid, to raise money for the Give Love Foundation.

The Emmy Award-winning actress and star of Medium on CBS founded Give Love to implement a methodical pilot project that will develop and evaluate sustainable, low-cost building technologies, green fuel and sanitation systems, and other long-term living solutions for displaced communities in Haiti.

Through the help of the American Welding Society, which is headquartered in Miami, and students at Robert Morgan Educational Center in South Miami-Dade, Give Love hopes to have 54 families out of tents and living in shipping containers that are being converted into homes, within the next few months.

Patricia Arquette wasn't overjoyed when she found out her CBS hit show Medium was renewed for another season (its seventh). The reason: The 42-year-old actress was in Haiti, helping displaced earthquake victims. ``[Producers] called me to tell me we were just picked up and I didn't know what was happening,'' Arquette said at a fundraiser at a private home in Coral Gables. ``There were kids running around with no shoes in broken glass and broken metal. The toilets were full. There are sanitary issues. I said, `I can't even talk to you about that. I'm in a whole other world.' ''

Indeed, Arquette's bizarro glamorous Hollywood life definitely went on the back burner for 12 days earlier this month when the actress, who has starred in such movies as Flirting with Disaster, Beyond Rangoon and True Romance, traveled to the ravaged island nation. Her goal, along with the Give Love Foundation (which she founded), is helping to resettle homeless families. Earlier in the day, Arquette visited the Robert Morgan Educational Center in South Miami to check in with welding students who are building the doors and roofing trusses for quake victims' new homes. Fifty-four housing structures are set for a one-acre site in Cité Soleil, a volatile area in Port-au-Prince.

"American Welding Society and Welding School Work with 'Medium' Star Patricia Arquette’s Give Love Foundation to Build Shelter for Families in Haiti."

WHAT: Upon her return from a humanitarian two-week trip to Haiti, actress Patricia Arquette will visit welding students at Robert Morgan Education Center in South Miami-Dade who are working with her Give Love Foundation to build doors and roofing trusses for new housing in Haiti.

The American Welding Society teamed up the welding students with Arquette, an Emmy Award-winning actress, and fashion designer Rosetta Getty, to help build 54 housing structures on a one-acre site in Cite Soleil, Port-au-Prince. The units will be constructed out of shipping containers and provide immediate relief for displaced families who are currently camped at the L’Athletique d’Haiti soccer field.

As Haiti struggles to rebuild after the devastating earthquake in January of this year, millions of people are still without any adequate shelter. Despite the massive international disaster and relief operation, the long-term needs of displaced communities are still not being addressed for the majority of the homeless people. With families living in tents and the rainy season upon them, these camp cities are vulnerable to flooding and the spread of water-borne disease.

Star of CBS' "Medium" Discusses Female Intuition, Her Efforts to Help Haitians Rebuild -- with Shipping Containers.

(CBS) Emmy award winner Patricia Arquette knows a little something about the future -- or at least the character she plays on TV does. On the CBS drama "Medium," Arquette plays a psychic whose visions help the Phoenix police department solve crimes. Arquette's character is based on real-life psychic Allison DuBois, whom Arquette has met several times in person.

But does Arquette have any foresight like her character? "All women have some of this," Arquette said. However, she conceded that she probably doesn't have real psychic ability. She joked, "I remember having a dream once that Al Gore won the presidency."

In addition to her work as an actress, Arquette is also devoted to work in Haiti. She's pitched in to help form the GiveLove Foundation, an organization that works to create housing for Haitians with discarded shipping containers, among other efforts. For more with Arquette and her efforts for displaced Haitians, click on the video below.

In the three months since a 7.0 earthquake struck Haiti, activists across the globe have been scrambling to bring relief to the impoverished Caribbean country. Thousands of Haitians died in the quake and subsequent aftershocks, while estimates report 2 to 3 million people still in need of basic food and shelter. Numerous international aid groups have poured resources into Haiti, but the local situation continues to surpass the current level of support from abroad.

Patricia Arquette means to change that. Starting with a single, innovative mission in one Haitian community, she launched the Give Love Foundation in late March. Its mission: to "rebuild communities, homes & livelihood for displaced earthquake survivors.”

Arquette has teamed up with Houston architect Christopher Robertson to quickly solve one piece of the Haitian relief puzzle. Housing is the first order of business for Give Love, and the organization is currently implementing plans for cost-effective, hurricane-resistant housing able to withstand future earthquakes. A total of 50 ‘container homes’ (pictured above) will house 400 homeless people currently living in make-shift camps north of Port-au-Prince. Robertson’s container home design involves using refurbished shipping containers, simply modified to provide for air circulation and maximum space efficiency. Extended roofing offers residents a porch-like exterior, a needed respite from the blistering sun and frequent Caribbean rains. The cost: $4,000 per structure.

Patricia Arquette has two more weeks of production on “Medium” for the season, and then she’ll be returning to Haiti and the labor of passion she’s thrown herself into — transforming a squalid, violent, displaced persons’ camp into a village with sustainable housing and sanitation. “Ever since the earthquake, it’s completely consumed all my excess time. I’m glad to say my kids are on board, and they’re OK with that,” notes the mother of a 20-year-old son and a 7-year-old daughter.

Arquette says she initially simply donated money to big charities after the devastating 7.0 quake hit the impoverished island nation in January. But then, a combination of seeing news stories detailing the ongoing misery in Haiti and hearing about it from a nurse friend of hers made her feel compelled to do more.

“She was among the first responders to rush down. She was so shaken. She’d been to India, to a lot of different locations — she’d seen a lot of poverty, but nothing like this. And she said, ‘You have to do something. Everybody’s got to do something.’”

It's "High School Musical" all over again, only without the singing, or dancing or even the music. The Disney pop sensation, Ashley Tisdale, who played Sharpay Evans in all three musicals, has signed on to star in the new CW pilot, "Hellcats." And, just like in "High School Musical," she'll be bringing a whole lot of attitude with her. Tisdale will play Sierra, the intense captain of the Hellcats who will make her previous Sharpay character seem tame by comparison.

“I’m so excited for this project," she posted on her official blog. "I love the cast I’m working with and am so thrilled with the character I get to play.”

Former "Medium" actress, Sofia Vassilieva, has also joined the cast of the show, and will star alongside another well known Disney face, rock-chick Aly Michalka. Michalka has landed the lead role in the pilot and former "NYPD Blue" actress, Gail O'Grady, will play her mother. The series is being produced by "Smallville" star, Tom Welling, and will film shortly after filming wraps on the shows ninth season.

Sofia Vassilieva recently joined the Stand Up For Cancer campaign, which both Patricia and her Sister Rosanna Arquette have done work for. Vassilieva says that she was inspired to get involved with the charity after playing a cancer patient in My Sister’s Keeper, and seeing the resilience of young cancer patients first-hand. According to the video, Stand Up To Cancer has raised over 100 million dollars in just under two years of existence. You can watch Vassilieva’s interview, as well as another PSA featuring such stars as Renee Zellwegger and Rob Lowe, below.

Recently, we saw a video in which Rosanna Arquette interviewed her sister, Patricia Arquette, about how cancer has affected their lives. The interview was done for the charity, Stand Up To Cancer, and now, Sofia Vassilieva is working with them.

The spot was filmed recently, as Vassilieva has the short bob she’s been sporting lately. It’s only a 15-second spot, but it’s quite well-done, and it’s always nice to see celebrities, especially young ones, working with charitable organizations. You can watch the spot below:

A Clip from the Sesame Street Episode (or segment) Patricia Arquette starred in (via HULU.com). She and this muppet character here are talking about how big the word "Metamorphosis" is and how much fun it is to say it. It's pretty damn cute and hillarious when Patricia ends up getting changed into a Pinguin.

Patricia Arquette, along with several other actors including Martin Sheen and Grey’s Anatomy’s Chandra Wilson, narrate a new film called A Single Woman. A Single Woman follows the story of Jeanette Rankin, “the peace activist, co-found of the ACLU and the first woman in the United States Congress. Elected from Montana before women had the right to vote.”

Sofia-Vassilieva.org has uploaded Photoshoots taken during the promotion of My Sister's Keeper (2009). It features the core actors of the film, plus Sofia sporting a Brunette wig (which looks rather flattering on her in some shots, other times she actually looks like a done up cancer patient, which was probably the point).

Sesame Street is celebrating its 40th season, beginning on November 10, and is boasting an impressive roster of celebrity guests including First Lady Michelle Obama, Ricky Gervais, Paul Rudd, and Medium’s very own Patricia Arquette. Arquette appears about midway through the season in an episode about amphibians.

Her co-star is the lovable Abby Cadabby, and they talk about the “Word on the street,” which is “metamorphosis.” Behind the cut has the episode description and an adorable photo of Arquette and Abby. I haven’t found a video of her appearance yet, but here’s one of some highlights from the upcoming season. It looks hysterical.

Apparently, Jake Weber wasn't the only cast member of MEDIUM to have crossed paths with the Rolling Stones. In 1995 (when Arquette was probably known for her Sexually Driven roles), Patricia Arquette starred in the music video for "Like a Rolling Stone", their cover of the Bob Dylan song, as a young woman riding the hide of life tide only to come crashing down due to a drug addiction. The video is very trippy (I got pretty dizy from watching it), but the effects were great nonetheless.
