The love for shows celebrating their 20th anniversary is not just reserved for "The Simpsons." Viewers put NBC's "Law & Order" ahead of CBS' paranormal lineup on Friday. CBS did tie with NBC and ABC a couple of times during the night, but the Eye prevailed in rating averages for the night, and matched ABC in demographics (thanks to Rihanna's interview).

"Numb3rs," "Medium," and "Ghost Whisperer" drew 7.8 million viewers and a 5.1 rating/9 share in households for CBS, while NBC took in almost 7 million viewers and a 4.5/8. Third place went to ABC (5.8 million, 3.9/7), followed by FOX (3.9 million, 2.6/4) and The CW (1.9 million, 1.3/2).

CBS and ABC tied among adults 18-49 with a 1,8 rating, beating out CBS' 1.6. FOX came in third in the key ad demographic with a 1.2, followed by The CW at 0.9.

CliqueClack TV Reviews 6x07: "New Terrain": Bank robbers and bombs

“New Terrain” was something of an odd episode, and not just because the episode title referenced Allison’s new car. The episode seemed to take a while to get up to speed. The dream about the girls in the car, and then the accident at the school, weren’t connected at all to the bank case, and made for some strange pacing. Fortunately, while the structure felt a little odd, the episode ended up being excellent as Allison unraveled the twists behind the big heist.

Since it did play a role in solving the case, we should probably talk about Allison’s new wheels. I’m one that is generally very touchy about product integration, because it is so often done so poorly. But this was really an example of doing it right. It never felt like a GMC commercial had been jammed into the show, and Allison’s move into the technology future has been long overdue. I even made a comment about the fact that Allison still doesn’t have a hands free device earlier in the season.
