MEDIUM revolves not only around the fact that Allison Dubois (Patricia Arquette) is psychic, but that she has a family. For seven seasons, the audience has watched the Dubois daughters – sensitive Ariel, forthright Bridget and little Marie – grow up on camera. Likewise, actresses Sofia Vassilieva (Ariel), now eighteen, Maria Lark (Bridget), now thirteen, and identical twins Madison and Miranda Carabello (sharing the role of Marie), now eight, have spent a significant portion of their lives acting in the Dubois household.

The long-running MEDIUM airs its final new episode tonight on CBS. This interview was conducted while it was not known whether there would be an eighth season. Here’s what they had to say.

TV's best husband talks the end of the run, growing co-stars and Zack Snyder.

For seven years on MEDIUM, Allison Dubois, played by Patricia Arquette, has seen and heard dead people, an ability she’s used to help the Phoenix, Arizona district attorney’s office. Her three young daughters all share some version of her gift. The only person in the household who doesn’t have psychic qualities is husband and father Joe Dubois, played by Jake Weber. Joe may at times be bewildered, skeptical or even totally exasperated, but he is unshakably loyal and loving, attributes that have had the character rated in multiple polls as one of the best spouses on TV.

MEDIUM spent five years on NBC, ending on a cliffhanger on both sides of the camera before the series was picked up by CBS for another two seasons, which will come to an end this Friday night. This interview with Weber was conducted when it was not known whether an eighth season might be forthcoming. The actor, whose film career includes starring roles in U-571, WENDIGO and the DAWN OF THE DEAD remake, sounds philosophical in any case.

GiveLove co-founders Patricia Arquette and Rosetta Getty, along with Jacqui Getty, welcomed guests to a private LA residence for the 1st Annual GiveLove to Haiti Dinner on Sunday, August 29th, 2010. The event’s mission was to raise awareness for GiveLove — a collaborative project to rebuild communities, homes and livelihoods for displaced Haitian earthquake survivors.

The exclusive dinner, which drew out “giving” celebs including Maria Bello, Odette Yusman, Rose McGowan and Rachel Bilson, featured Maestro DOBEL Diamond Tequila, which guests enjoyed throughout the nights. James Van Der Beek and “Brothers and Sisters” co-stars Dave Annable and Balthazar Getty all sported the Choose Haiti H.E.L.P. Bracelet, while they toasted Maestro DOBEL Diamond Tequila. The H.E.L.P. Bracelet which is created by Haitian artisans is available at BlanketAmerica.com; all funds for the bracelet and for the GiveLove event benefit the Haiti relief efforts.

After a yo-yo ride of breakup, then makeup and now divorce, Patricia Arquette and Thomas Jane's relationship hasn't exactly been stable. But Arquette says the split isn't as acrimonious as one might assume...

"We're both really good," she told us last night at the Judith Leiber boutique in Beverly Hills, where she cohosted the Don't Forget Haiti benefit for Vital Voices.

Arquette insisted she and the Hung star remain friends. The pair, who were introduced by friends in 2001, got married four years ago and have a 7-year-old daughter together. About a year ago the Medium star filed a divorce petition, but the two eventually reunited. "I don't think people would even imagine that it could be so friendly and not weird," Arquette said. Sounds like we may be able to add them to our list of "Good" Hollywood Divorces".

PATRICIA ARQUETTE needed a clairvoyant to turn around her career in 2005 and she found just that in Allison Dubois, the humdrum housewife who solves major crimes with her dreams in the hit US series Medium. Up to then, Arquette was best-known for North-East director Tony Scott’s 1993 movie True Romance and others like Ed Wood and Disney’s Holes and her shortlived 1995 marriage to Nicolas Cage.

Now she’s an Emmy award-winning actress, who has just been commissioned to star in a seventh series of Medium, which has been treated disgracefully by the BBC (should Arquette have seen that coming?) with a scatter-gun broadcasting of the early series. Now Living is showing the latest episodes, which still command eight million viewers in the US.

“I had a feeling that women wanted to see something different. Different types of body shapes, different faces,” Arquette said of the success of Medium, which features her as a working mum with three daughters and a loving husband, Joe (Jake Weber). “She’s not some supermodel, but he’s hot for her and she’s hot for him. It’s a committed sexual marriage which you rarely see in film or TV,” is her summing up of the backstory.

Teenagers out of control! Now we're talking. Stories about dangerous, scary teens threatening adults have been a staple of B-movies and bad TV shows for decades. But recently, teens tend to be portrayed in a more pleasant light ("High School Musical," "Glee," the Justin Bieber phenomenon). So I was happy to see the scary-teen theme return with a vengeance in "Bond of Silence" (9 p.m., Lifetime), starring Kim Raver ("24").

Like many TV tragedies, "Bond" begins in yuppie heaven. Gorgeous wife Katy McIntosh (Raver) is preparing soup when her handsome and triathlete-running husband lawyer Bob (David Cubitt, "Medium") comes out of the shower and gives her a hug. What could go wrong?

Set against this scene of domestic bliss, a New Year's Eve party assembles across the street, teeming with underage drinkers and unsupervised youth. What could go wrong?

Patricia Arquette has made her split from husband Thomas Jane official. The Medium star filed for divorce from the actor last Friday, Los Angeles court records show. Arquette is seeking primary physical and legal custody of their daughter Harlow, 7, and is asking the court to deny Jane any spousal support.

"The split is completely amicable and their prime focus is their daughter," a rep for Jane said last week. "They ask that their privacy be respected at this time." The actress first filed for divorce from Jane, who stars in HBO's Hung, in January 2009, but the two reconciled later that year.

Arquette, 42, and Jane, 41, met through friends in 2001 and were married in Italy in May 2006.
