Brief Interview with Joe and Allison Dubois ...

NBC-12 here in Phoenix just aired a short interview centering around Joe Dubois and how he feels about Jake Weber's portrayal of him on "Medium." Joe and Allison both say that the show's portrayal of their marriage is "pretty accurate to who [we] really are."

Allison also asserts that she thinks "the relationship between Allison and Joe has been crucial to the show's success."

As to how Joe on the show measures up to Joe in real life, Allison says that Jake Weber has managed to capture the "intellectual and supportive side" of her real-life Joe "and is slowly learning to show the edge that the real Joe has." Joe says it's quite odd to see his life portrayed on screen with his wife's but is learning to deal with it.

Joe himself says, on living with a psychic, "I keep notes and try to piece it all together. It's not spooky at all-- yet."

And finally, a note of interest, Joe Dubois has since quit his job as an aerospace engineer to help Allison manage her career and her newfound success.

And he is a wicked cool guy in person, might I add. He not only autographed my copy of Allison's book but he also noticed and commented on the shirt I was wearing ... not even my boyfriend comments on my shirt! Plus he's just hot stuff in real life. ;)
