2009 Emmy Award(s) Submissions

While I recieved news earlier (from crazyboltonlass) about the list of Nomination Submissions for the Emmy's, I only just got around to post any news about it. MEDIUM has eight submissions for Lead, Supportng and Guest Actor/Actress. While this is good news, the only thing that really puzzles me is Jake Weber in the SUPPORTING ACTOR section? How does that work exactly when he's practically the Lead Actor on the show? I could've seen this happening in Season when he really was "Supporting actor", but not so much now. Supporting is more like David Cubitt and Miguel Sandoval.

Below is a list of the drama and comedy shows, stars, and guest stars who have been submitted for consideration in the 2009 Prime Time Emmy Awards, coming this fall. Nudity on Screen: Acresses Debate barring their assetts

To strip or not to strip — that is the question. In the emancipated Hollywood of 2009, you might think that nudity on screen is less of an issue. And to a degree, that’s probably true with fewer performers admitting to hang-ups about baring all. Yet, it’s still a no-no for many stars, including high-profile names like Julia Roberts, while others wonder why there should be any controversy at all.

Medium star Patricia Arquette long had hang-ups about nudity — to the point that she was so ashamed of her body she wouldn’t take a bath with the lights on. “I had become so uncomfortable with nudity that I was not at a normal place anymore,” she confessed in 1997. That was the year when she admitted going “through the gates of hell” to turn herself around by signing with director David Lynch for the bizarre Lost Highway, a movie that required her to be very much in the altogether. “I’m finally coming into my own sexuality,” she told reporters when the movie was released, and then moments later confessed that she still had inhibitions. “I’m getting a migraine just thinking about this.”
