-The opening dream was one of the best they've used all season. I've been looking for Allison's dreams to get much more metaphorical, less attached to the reality of the crimes. I know my dreams, when I do have ones that come true, are never that literal or so attached to the event.
-Is anyone else hoping that Allison will start getting back to actually hearing the deceased and speaking to them as opposed to just dreaming about them? I mean, correct me if I'm wrong here but there were a lot more ways Allison communicated as a medium in the first season of the show. Here it's just been dreams and music ... but in first season she was actually seeing spirits at times, in the waking world. I don't know ... I guess the "Allison repeatedly wakes up gasping" thing is starting to get a little old. From hearing the real Allison talk, she says that she gets visions in ways other than dreams ... I'd like to see more of those.
-So, where'd they find that trained deer? It was awesome.
-Ah, the family dynamic is finally settling down. That's good. I'm not completely ready for Joe to become an all-out supporter of Allison's dreams but it definitely improves the episode not to have them sniping at each other every few minutes.
-Sofia Vassilleva is giving some great performances as Ariel. I'd like to see more complex stories with her. Allison talks in real life about both of her daughters having the same gift she does and how she encourages it with her girls. I'd like to see that happen on the show as well.
-Okay, the blood dripping from the ceiling bit ... getting old. Everyone's using it.
-But I got a SEVERE chill down my spine when it was revealed that the father-in-law hunted down his son-in-law. "He gave hima three minute head-start" never sounded quite so creepy.
-Say it with me now ... "Press-kit", not "Press-cot." The ONE place in all of Arizona that you have to mangle the pronounciation on EVERY WEEK! That's four times so far this season! It's driving me bananas. Pick a place you know you can't mess up! Cave Creek is good! Or Flagstaff! Or Yuma! Or Apache Junction. Just STOP MANGLING PRESCOTT! ARGH!
I know it seems weird that I keep coming back to this but it just reminds me every week that someone is falling down on doing their research and it's making the nit-picky part of my brain go crazy ... I even went so far as to scour the NBC website for a place to send an email ... then I looked for email addresses and sites for Glenn Gordon Caron, Kelsey Grammar, Rene Echevvaria, and Robert Doherty just to tell them that they're making a mistake. Nothing! How can I get in touch with these guys?
Well, actually that IS a serious question ... If I really wanted to get in touch with someone from the show, how do I do it? Not every person who works on a network show skulks around on LJ and reads the boards. (One of the writers from "Lost" does but I imagine that that isn't as common as people think). The "Medium" site on NBC has no place to send an email ... just a "fill out our survey and tell us how we're doing" slot. Anyone know of anyplace to send fan mail or email queries?

Date: 2005-11-08 06:41 pm (UTC)Here here! <3 You know, at first I thought that speech the father gave about his son-in-law during trial was a bit dragged on and wasting screen time, but once the episode ended.. yeah. Daddy went nuts. Oo
And I agree, the opening dream really freaked me out. o__o I felt so sorry for that lady, but whoever that actress was is damn good.
